Adelaide Clinger, 12, was accidentally shot and killed inside her Kaysville home on Cooper Street Sunday afternoon.

Read the family’s full statement below:

We are heartbroken by the passing of our sweet Addy. We miss her terribly. Yet, we know that our lives have been better for having her in them, and we know that we can be with her again. We are truly grateful for the wonderful first-responder team. We are also very appreciative of the thoughts and prayers from so many people. We have been so blessed by the love, kindness, and support from the community. And though we are so very grateful, we also ask for privacy to grieve and to heal.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, at 11 a.m. This will be preceded by a public viewing held from 9–10:30 a.m. All events will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building at 615 N. Flint Street, Kaysville, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Addy Clinger Memorial Fund at www.giveforward.com or to the Addy Clinger Benefit Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank (account 7740381012).
