The ALS Association is on a mission to treat and cure ALS through global research and advocacy, and the Ice Bucket Challenge is one tool being used in the fight against ALS. Participants are given the ice bucket treatment and then extend the challenge to others, who are encouraged to donate to the fight against ALS and/or take the challenge themselves within 24 hours.
FOX 13's John Goulet and Kelly Chapman accepted the challenge this weekend, see the video above for the footage. They also extended the challenge to a few others. Earlier this week, FOX 13 Sports' Bailey McMurdie accepted the challenge from BYU Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall, and a day after that Max Roth and Brett Benson joined in the movement.
Those who take the challenge are encouraged to share their action on social media using the hash tag #IceBucketChallenge
