SPRINGDALE, Utah — Officials say the body found inside Zion National Park Friday afternoon was that of a missing hiker from St. George.
Corbin McMillen had told his mother he was going to hike Angels Landing Trail on Thursday. Park rangers found McMillen's vehicle in the Grotto parking lot around midnight, and a search began the following day.
The body of the 42-year-old was found at the base of Moonlight Buttress. Officials say McMillen's injuries are consistent with a high fall, probably from the summit of Moonlight Buttress.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the McMillen family and friends,” park superintendent Jeff Bradybaugh said. “We are all deeply saddened by this outcome.”
