CEDAR CITY, Utah — The US Geological Survey reported several small earthquakes near Cedar City Wednesday, with a 3.0-magnitude quake occurring just after 9 p.m.
The USGS states a 2.6-magnitude quake hit at 21:52 UTC, which is 2:52 p.m. MDT. The quake was located 22 kilometers, about 13 miles, northwest of Cedar City.
A 3.0-magnitude earthquake was reported by the USGS just after 9 p.m. Wednesday. That quake was also located about 13 miles northwest of Cedar City.
Earthquakes under 3.5-magnitude do not generally cause damage or injury.
