UPDATE: Officials at Travis Air Force Base stated shortly after 6 p.m. the incident was a false alarm and base is no longer under lockdown.
The base posted on Facebook: “Travis Air Force Base emergency personnel responded to reports of gun shots at the Base Exchange. However, it was determined to be a false alarm. The base is no longer under lockdown. We take every security incident seriously.”

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE — An unnamed “security incident” has forced a lockdown at Travis Air Force Base, which is near Fairfield, Calif.
People are advised to stay away from the base, Staff Sgt. Nicole Leidholm told CNN.
This is a real world incident, Leidholm adds. They were doing a drill when the incident took place. She could not provide any other details.
