OREM, Utah — Army Private Dylan Ramirez wanted to surprise his mom when he learned he would get Christmas vacation leave.

But his mom had other ideas.

Michelle Ramirez had been frustrated by her youngest daughter, Brisa.

"We've been trying to get her to tell us for weeks now what she wants for Christmas," said Michelle.

After weeks, Brisa opened up about what she wanted most.

"Finally one night we were sitting around and she said 'Mom, you know what I'd really like for Santa to bring was my big brother Dylan.'," Michelle Ramirez said.

So Michelle started working to make the gift possible, and her 18-year-old Army son confessed that he did, in fact, have leave on Christmas.

So Dylan, Mom and Dad set out to surprise his three siblings.
