DRAPER, Utah – Detectives in Draper believe a burglary at a vapor shop is just the latest in a series of five crimes in recent days that may be connected.

Security cameras captured footage of the suspects at work in several alleged burglaries, which included Draper Vapor, a bridal shop, an NYPD Pizza, Boondocks Amusement Center, and a business at the Ridge Complex.

In each case there are two to three suspects, and they gain entry by using large pry-bars to open doors. While many of the businesses have alarms, the suspects were in and out in a matter of a few minutes.

"They are really good at prying open doors, but they are also trying to get into safes and ATMs, and they have been successful in some cases,” said Sgt. Pat Evans of Draper PD.

Cops are hoping someone out there can help identify these guys and get them off the street because they feel this crew may be connected to even more burglaries.

"The MO of these suspects is similar to the other burglaries around the valley, we are still working on that, we're still trying to determine if they are connected but, yes, it is concerning because you do not know if they have weapons, and again you do not know what kind of danger they pose,” Evans said.

Sgt. Evans is referring to very similar burglaries just across the valley in South and West Jordan, including a break-in at a West Jordan gun shop where the suspects stole several guns, including two fully automatic rifles.

Detectives cannot say for certain just yet if all of the burglaries are connected to the same group, but cops here in Draper say just the five crimes that they have already put them at high alert.

"They know what they are looking for and they are in and out pretty quickly,” Evans said. “But eventually officers are going to come upon the suspects because, again, we have a fast response time."

They hope someone out there will take a long look at these videos, notice something familiar about the burglars and call police.
