WEST HAVEN, Utah — Weber County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a man who suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen Friday, and while no suspects are in custody police do not believe there is any danger to the public.
Lt. Hutchinson with the Weber County Sheriff’s Office said deputies first responded to the incident near the 1000 block of Wilson Lane in West Haven just after 5 p.m.
Responding officers arrived and found a 40-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen. That man was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Police said they are securing the scene and investigating the incident. While no one has been arrested at this time, police said they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to public safety.
