WYOMING, Minn. — Police across the country have tried various methods to encourage people not to drive while drunk, but a department in Minnesota recently earned a lot of online goodwill with a threat that was as unique as it was specific.

The Tweet reads: “Do NOT drive drunk. I will find you. I will arrest you. I will make you listen to One Direction cover bands on the way to jail.”

Twitter users loved the message, which was liked and retweeted thousands of times in about 24 hours.

The department responded to the follow up tweets with more humor and goodwill, see below for a sample or check out their Twitter feed. And, most importantly, don’t drink and drive.
