PARK CITY, Utah - A Park City family returned home this week to find their house trashed.

Furniture was overturned, appliances and electronics were broken, windows were smashed and walls were spray painted.

"I was away for a couple of days, and I got a call from the police department that our house had been vandalized, they described it as something they'd never seen before in Park City," said the victim, who didn't want to be named.

Every room inside this Thaynes Canyon home was marked with violence and destruction.

"It's heartbreaking, it's a newly remodeled home, and so we just put it together and recently moved in," the victim said.

The estimated damage is in the tens of thousands of dollars.

"They had hammers, so they took hammers to anything glass," the victim said.

Upstairs walls were spray painted with profanity. However, ironically, nothing was actually stolen.

"What does that mean, I don't know, a lot of anger and frustration taking away someone's sense of security," the victim said.

Fortunately, Park City Police happened to be in the neighborhood, heard the sound of breaking glass, and arrested the two juvenile boys responsible.

"There's a young demographic here that's hurting, we've had some incidents prior with young teens and teenagers, and I'm worried about that," the victim said.
