Orem man faces 30 charges in child pornography investigation

OREM, Utah — An Orem man is facing 30 charges after authorities allegedly found about 6,500 images and videos of suspected child pornography at his home.

Authorities investigating child pornography uploads traced the activity to an IP address at a home in Orem, and police executing a search warrant found one tablet that had about 6,500 media files suspected to be child pornography.

Lt. Craig Martinez with the Orem Police Department said Jeffery Baxter was booked into the Utah County Jail Wednesday and faces 30 counts of exploitation of a minor as second-degree felonies.
