Man dies in ATV crash while hunting with family in southern Utah

ST. GEORGE, Utah — A 63-year-old man from Cedar City died Saturday after an ATV crash near Kolob Peak.

St. George News reportsemergency crews responded to a remote area near Kolob Peak in Washington County around 6:30 p.m. Saturday and found the man unconscious but breathing.

Life Flight responded to transport the man from the scene, however he died before crews could arrive at his location.

St. George News reports the man was on a hunting trip with family members and was riding with a passenger when he lost control of the ATV  and crashed. That passenger was treated at the scene and declined transport to a hospital.

The deceased has not yet been identified.
