Tips for the perfect peach pie

Valerie Kukahiko from Crust Club shared tips for baking the perfect peach pie with a lattice crust.

  1. Prepare 8 - 10 peaches by slicing an X on the bottom of each peach to easier peel them after they are boiled
  2. Place peaches into boiling water for about 60 seconds or until skin is easy to peel
  3. Peel each peach and slice into pieces.
  4. Macerate peaches to get them ready to make a filling.
  5. Roll out pie dough and make a lattice top
  6. Paint eggwash onto crust, finish by dusting sugar on top
