BYU names Taysom Hill starting QB for upcoming season

PROVO, Utah — Brigham Young University football head coach Kalani Sitake named Taysom Hill as the starting quarterback for the upcoming season.

The announcement was made Tuesday, on Hill’s 26th birthday. Hill, a senior at BYU, played on the Highland High School football team in Pocatello, ID, before his decision to join BYU’s team.

According to his online bio, Hill originally committed to Stanford University, and he was also recruited by Arizona, Washington State, Boise State and the University of Utah.
