Summer camps are wrapping up, but there was one that was very special this Summer. It was created for kids and young adults on the Autism spectrum. Led by a group of researchers from The University of Utah, they set out to prove just how talented these young people are. The camp uses free Google software called Sketchup. Kids learn 3D modeling skills and also pick up confidence and job skills. The classes are offered at the Columbus Community Center, where thy have a multitude of resources for people with disabilities. You can get more information on the camp here. For more information and resources from the Columbus Community Center, go here.
