GUNNISON, Utah — The Central Utah Correctional Facility is on lock down this weekend after a fight involving seven inmates sent three people to a local hospital.

Brooke Adams with the Utah Department of Corrections confirms the facility was locked down Saturday after a fight in the recreation yard.

Seven inmates were involved in the fight, and three of the inmates were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Visitation was canceled for the Cedar housing unit Sunday, but other housing units held visitation as scheduled. The status of the lock down will be reviewed Monday, Adams stated.
