SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah is getting more pushback for a resolution that declares pornography a "public health crisis."

The latest issue of "Penthouse" magazine has a headline on the cover that declares: "Utah's Governor Wants to Handle Your Penis." The magazine includes an article that is critical of the Utah State Legislature's resolution on porn.

Governor Gary Herbert's office confirmed on Tuesday it was mailed a copy of the magazine.

IMG_0347"If a magazine like Penthouse is taking you to task, that's always a good sign that you're on the right side of history. Utah is a leader in the fight against pornography, especially with the focus on the harm it poses to our children," governor's spokesman Jon Cox told FOX 13. "The fact that the industry feels so threatened by a non-binding resolution meant to raise awareness of this problem shows you just how desperate they can be."

The resolution, sponsored by Sen. Todd Weiler, R-Woods Cross, has generated international headlines. He has repeatedly insisted his bill does not regulate the adult entertainment industry, but is focused on porn addiction and preventing children from accessing it.

Recently, Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt had copies of his magazine sent to every member of the Utah State Legislature as a form of protest over the resolution.
