MIDVALE, Utah — Police are investigating a shooting in Midvale that left one man dead Monday night.
Authorities said 52-year-old Michael Anderson was shot and killed overnight.
At about 9 p.m., Unified Police confirmed they were investigating a homicide at 7940 S. State Street.
Unified Police Det. Ken Hansen said two men got into an argument and at some point one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other.
The shooter is in custody and police are trying to determine whether or not it was self-defense.
