COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho - Dads are famous for the adorably embarrassing things they do to their children.

However, this Utah father's act might have gone a bit too far for his 48-year-old son.

Salt Lake City businessman Baron Brooks said he was mortified when he saw his own smiling face on a full-page newspaper ad in a North Idaho paper, the Coeur d'Alene Presspromo290977341

He said his 78-year-old father, Arthur Brooks, placed the ad looking for a wife for his son.

"If I die now, I want it to be known by medical science, that one can die from embarrassment," he told Q13 News.

Baron said his father didn't ask his permission to place the $900 ad and he had no idea until he started getting tons of phone calls.

The ad invites eligible women to be interviewed to be Baron's wife.

It includes a brief description of Baron with a photo and the ideal attributes of his suitable mate.

Baron said he doesn't want to hurt his father's feelings so he is allowing his dad to go ahead and interview candidates to be his future wife.

The deadline for applicants is June 25.
