DRAPER, Utah - Officers have arrested known member of the Aryan Brotherhood, 30-year-old Delbert Wade Auger, for attempted murder after he allegedly fired more than a dozen rounds in a Draper motel parking lot overnight.
Police said the incident started when he told the clerk at the Ramada Inn he wanted to get into one of the rooms and the clerk refused, saying he wasn't registered at the motel.
Authorities said a short time later the clerk went outside to check the grounds of the motel.
At that point, a person believed to be the same man who the clerk has just denied a room started shooting.
No one was injured but a few cars were hit.
The shooter ran and a K9 Unit found a man hiding about a block away.
Officers identified him as Auger and arrested him.
Auger has a history of violence and run-ins with police including being a federal fugitive in a check fraud scheme in White City back in February.
