OREM, Utah — Police in Orem thanked the public for their help after a registered sex-offender who went missing was located by authorities.
According to Orem PD, 54-year-old Michael Martinez left the area of 700 North and 1100 West in Orem on a black mountain bike sometime Thursday around 9 a.m.
Just after 5 p.m., police confirmed Martinez had been found, and they thanked the public for their tips on the case.
Martinez is a registered sex offender who is supposed to be under 24-hour supervision.
In the comments of the original Facebook post, Orem PD stated Martinez was not staying at a secured facility.
