(CNN) — Donald Trump says he has raised at least $5.6 million for veterans.
At a press conference Tuesday, Trump also said he expected that more funds would be coming in.
“There are so many people who are so thankful for what we did,” Trump said.
Trump’s announcement at which he listed the vets groups and amounts donated comes four months after the billionaire developer said he had raised $6 million — including $1 million of his own money — for veterans causes during a fundraiser he hosted instead of attending a GOP primary debate.
Trump had faced months of unrelenting questions from reporters struggling to track the funds.
