SALT LAKE CITY — Search and rescue crews responded Sunday to a fallen hiker in the Lisa Falls area of Little Cottonwood Canyon, and officials confirm the woman is being taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Ken Hansen, a public information officer for Unified Police Department, said search and rescue crews responded to the injured hiker in the Lisa Falls area. The patient is a 25-year-old woman.
Police stated the steep trail in the area meant crews had to set up rigging to reach the patient and get her down.
Police tweeted around 8:35 p.m. that the woman had made it off the mountain and was being taken to a local hospital. She is in serious condition, police stated.
