Police identify man hit, killed by FrontRunner train in Utah County

PROVO, Utah - A man has died after being hit by a FrontRunner train in Provo near 1111 West and 400 South Thursday.

Provo Police stated a southbound train struck and killed a 36-year-old male, who they described as a pedestrian, around 2:15 p.m.

Police later identified the deceased as 36-year-old Kevin Poulsen.

The track was closed for several hours as crews investigated, and a bus bridge was put in place. Later Thursday, the track reopened and the bus bridge was ended.

Provo PD and UTA police are investigating the scene to determine the circumstances around the fatality.
