LITTLE COTTONWOOD CANYON, Utah — Authorities have identified a 21-year-old man killed after a utility vehicle he was using rolled off the side of the road in Little Cottonwood Canyon and landed upside-down in Little Cottonwood Creek, Monday afternoon.

According to a spokesman for the Unified Police Department, the victim, now identified as David Pepper, was trapped in the vehicle, which was described as a county watershed vehicle.

Pepper was an employee of Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort.

"The Snowbird family is heartbroken at the passing of one of our fellow employees today. We extend our condolences to his family as his many friends here at Snowbird," said Snowbird President Bob Bonar.
