UTAH -- Communities in Utah celebrated the holiday weekend with Easter egg hunts, but not all of them were of the traditional sort.

Among the egg hunts held in Utah Saturday was an event at Christ United Methodist Church in Millcreek, which was divided up into four different hunts for kids of different age groups.

"It's just a fun time for them to come inside and see what the church is about, and find Easter egg hunts, and also we took about 10 minutes at the beginning and told them about the true meaning of Easter," said Vanitta Conrad, Director of Christian Education at the church.

The egg hunt was followed by a brunch and other Easter-themed activities.

Meanwhile, in West Valley City, another egg hunt took on a more unusual format. The rec center hosted the event, which featured a swimming pool full of brightly colored plastic eggs.
