SALT LAKE CITY  -- From excitement to disdain,  Donald Trump's planned appearance in the Beehive State is making waves as the news makes the rounds.

According to Donald Trump's official website the Republican presidential nominee has changed the time and place he will speak. Trump will now speak at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 18th in the Infinity Events Center at 26 E 600 S in Salt Lake City. You can get register for tickets right here.

"It'll be great, very excited," said Mark Greer, who leads the online group Utah for Donald Trump.

A Trump volunteer said an office opened up in Draper on Friday, where many turned out and got trained to campaign.

Trump supporters will be met with protest. Students for a Democratic Society said they expect hundreds to turn out against Trump.

"Most likely we're going to have chants, we're going to have a pinata that looks like Donald Trump," Decker explained.

The protest is planned for 6 p.m. at Washington Square, followed by a march to the Infinity Events Center.

With support and hostility turning out side-by-side, there are concerns the event could turn violent.
