OGDEN, Utah – An Ogden family is staying with relatives after a fire claimed their home overnight.
Fire crews said the flames caused about $50,000 in damage at the home near 2724 Van Buren Ave.
The fire started just before 4 a.m. in the back of the home and spread to the garage and attic before crews contained it.
Authorities said seven people lived in the house and are all safe thanks to their working smoke alarms.
Ogden fire crews have not confirmed what started the fire at this time.
