DALLAS – Think back to when you were a child.

Did your mom or dad ever take something away from you to teach you a lesson?

Texas father, 36-year-old Ronald Jackson, took away his 12-year-old daughter’s cell phone after he discovered some inappropriate text messages, according to WFAA.

Sounds appropriate, right? The father wound up being criminally charged.

The child’s mother told police the phone belonged to her and filed criminal against the father.

A warrant was issued for his arrest, he requested a jury trial… and he won.

In fact, after the prosecution presented their case, the court ordered the not guilty verdict, ruling that the state failed to present sufficient evidence.
