Friends, family, lawmakers, coworkers and members of law enforcement are paying tribute to fallen Officer Doug Barney Monday.
The services were open to the public at the Maverik Center in West Valley City.
What did you love about Doug? What did you learn about him today? #OfficerBarney pic.twitter.com/RwKMYn01wZ

Many in the community are also taking to social media to remember and honor Barney, who was shot and killed by a fugitive earlier this month.
The married father of three children had just overcome cancer a year before his death and was finally enjoying being healthy again and spending time with his family.
Barney was an 18-year veteran of the Unified and Taylorsville police departments.
