ST. GEORGE, Utah – Two men are recovering after a break-in ended in a stabbing in St. George overnight.

Officers were called to a woman’s home near 200 W. and 300 S. just before 4 a.m. where they said Gregory James McClary forced his way inside.

St. George officers said McClary went to the woman’s bedroom and held a knife to her throat.

Two other men who were staying at the house intervened, trying to protect the woman, and were stabbed in the struggle.

The woman was not seriously injured.

The two men were treated for stab wounds; one was treated at the scene and the other is in critical condition.

Officers arrested McClary and although exact charges have not been filed, St. George Police said he will likely face aggravated residential burglary (domestic violence), up to 3 counts of aggravated assault and attempted homicide.
