Sara McCulley, Volunteer and Community Outreach Specialist and George Grygar, Program Director with Cottonwood Canyons Foundation tell us how people can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors in the winter. The mission of the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation is to work to continuously improve the environments of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons through education and stewardship. You can snowshoe for free with a naturalist (guide) all winter long. You do need to reserve your spot, which you can do by email. They usually have a few pairs of extra snowshoes, but you do need to specify whether or not you will need them beforehand. Remember to dress warm and have fun!
