SANDY, Utah - So black Friday isn't all that anymore, and Cyber Monday seems like it's all about Amazon and all the big box stores.
Does that mean the mom and pop shops are going down the tubes?
Web designer Justin Wilde says no.
In fact, he says the Web gives the small business a better chance.
"Online is a much bigger playing field," says Wilde.
Wilde is a partner with Red Olive, a firm in Sandy that designs sites, does search engine optimization, and builds apps for big and small companies, and the difference between an app for a big company and an app for a small company is...well there isn't one.
"It's not how big you are as a company. It has nothing to do with that. It's all about making sure that you're prepared and that you look the part and that you can deliver an exceptional product to compete with all of these other players," Wilde told Fox 13.
The key is to be prepared with a product or business that's viable enough to deliver quality products.
In other words: quality, not quantity.
