SALT LAKE CITY -- The now third-ranked Utah continues a perfect season with its triumph over Arizona State, 34-18, at Rice-Eccles Stadium Saturday night.

The win broke an 11-game losing streak since 1976 against the Sun Devils, and it also propelled Utah over TCU in the Week 8 AP Top 25 Poll.

Now ranked No. 3, the Utes received the second-highest number of first place votes. No. 1 Ohio State had the most with 28 votes, and Utah had 16. No. 2 Baylor had 12 first place votes, and the recently bumped to No. 4 TCU had 3.

“We talked about that today – not this year, not this time, not at our place,” said Utah Head Coach Kyle Whittingham.

The Utes led 14-10 at halftime. But Arizona State took an 18-14 lead after scoring eight-straight points in the third quarter on two field goals and a safety, according to the University of Utah athletics website.

Utah began its comeback in the fourth quarter, defeating the Sun Devils, 34-18.

The Utes hit the road next weekend to take on USC on Oct. 24.

With the win, Utah Athletics states the team is eligible for several bowl games, see the tweets below for those games and for footage of the team's locker room celebration.
