Pork Chops with an Orange Sauce (10.15.15)

  • 1 lb. pork chops (4-6 chops)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Sprinkle both sides of pork chops evenly with onion powder, garlic powder, basil, salt and pepper.

Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add pork chops; cook 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet.

Mix juice, sugar and cornstarch in small bowl until well blended. Add to skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 1 minute or until thickened. Spoon sauce over pork chops to serve. Garnish with green onions and parsley.
