Person of interest identified after man killed in Midvale hit-and-run

MIDVALE, Utah - Police are searching for a suspect of hitting and killing a 50-year-old man and then leaving the scene in Midvale Thursday night. 

Police identified a person of interest as 31-year-old Mika Lindquist.

Officers found 50-year-old Ronald Charles Renfro in the roadway near 38 W. and 7200 S. at about 6:30 p.m.

He was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Authorities are searching for a 2016 white Ford Escape with the license plate number X953XS.

It is a rental car that was reported stolen Sept. 11.

The suspect driving the car was a white woman with blonde hair who was last seen heading West on 7200 S.

Police say the vehicle should have significant damage to the right fender and windshield.
