State Representative Kraig Powell’s daughter Jessica has been teaching in Thailand but her mission call was sent to her family home here in Utah.
So the family “Skyped” with her so she could see her actual mission call and read it with her family and friends.
But it’s where she was called to serve that has everyone gasping.
Powell shared this video on his Facebook page and also posted another video from where she was in Thailand with her friends, and as you’ll see, her friends thought she was joking.
“Kim and I are so grateful that Jessica will be able to serve twice in a country that she has been so interested in,” Rep. Powell said.
“She chose Thailand for her teaching experience out of many other available choices. And now she will be able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people there as well.”
Powell said his daughter doesn’t speak Thai yet but will learn.
She is currently teaching English to 6 and 7-year-old students who speak a bit of English already.
