PLEASANT GROVE, Utah -- A man has created a little patriotic spot in Grove Creek Canyon Friday. In remembrance of September 11 and in honor of the thousands of people who lost their lives, he hung a giant American Flag in the canyon for everyone to see and visit.
Kyle Fox hung the same flag up here in the canyon last Fourth of July.
He was so moved by the response from the community he wanted to do it again, to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11.
"There is a spirit here," Kyle Fox said. "When you're up on this canyon, something about it. There is a presence, it's different. You can feel it. It's almost like a religion. American on its own is something that ties us all together. We can all relate. Red white and blue, we are a family."
The flag will be up there all night and until 5 a.m. Saturday.
If you go up Friday night, Lyle says he will have a spotlight illuminating the display.
