Man hit, killed by motor home while crossing street in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was hit and killed by a motor home while crossing a street in downtown Salt Lake City Saturday night.

Police at the scene tell FOX 13 News’ Robert Boyd a man between the ages of 30 and 40 was crossing 500 West near 500 South when he was hit and killed by a motor home. FOX 13 first heard reports of the crash around 9:30 p.m.

Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation, but they said at this time the driver of the motor home has been cooperative and is not facing any charges.

UDOT tweeted about an incident at that address, stating they expected the scene to be cleared by about 10:44 p.m.
