SALT LAKE CITY -- Is Mitt Romney considering another run for president in order to stop Donald Trump from sweeping up the nomination? A number of political blogs are speculating along those lines, but they don't offer any evidence.

Kirk Jowers, a political adviser and friend of Romney’s, tells FOX 13 News there is nothing to the speculation Romney may run, except perhaps wishful thinking among Republicans who don't want to see Trump win the nomination.

“The current crop, there's 16, and people just aren't gravitating to anyone but Trump, and I think that's horrifying to, you know, most Republicans to have him as our nominee,” Jowers said. "...I still believe Donald Trump has zero chance of winning."

Jowers said he thinks the support in the polls for Tump will fade when the field of candidates becomes less crowded. See the video above for more on Jowers’ remarks.
