MAGNA, Utah -- Family and friends of Shelli Brown gathered in a community park in Magna Thursday night to mourn the death of the 26-year-old mother.

"There's a lot of tears," said Pat Brown, Shelli's Uncle. "She had the most wonderful smile."

"She was a wonderful mother to her daughter," said her grandmother, Shirley LeCheminant.

Shelli Brown's body was discovered in Copper Community Park Early Wednesday morning by a woman who was walking her dogs. Investigators say they are investigating her death as a homicide. It's the second homicide in two days within a three-block radius.

"This isn't the Magna I know," said David Collins, father of Stevan Chambers--who was found shot dead in the street early Monday morning.

Unified Police said it's still too early to connect to the two murders but can confirm the two victims knew each other. In fact, many of the people who were at Chambers' Candlelight vigil Monday night say they saw Brown there as well.

"That's what I heard too," LeCheminant confirms.

Police say they are connecting the dots and closing in on leads quickly.

"We're going to do everything we can to resolve this as quickly as possible," said Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder.
