MILLCREEK, Utah — Unified police are searching for suspects after several shots were fired at an apartment complex late Wednesday night.

Unified Police Department personnel said they responded to calls of shots fired at the Monaco Apartments on 4100 South 300 East around 11:30 p.m.

Police said witnesses report two groups of people were talking in the parking lot before firing at least five or six shots.  Two apartments were hit with bullets.

“Once again, in these shootings and these types of cases, we had people in their apartments and bullets did come into their apartments,” said Lt. Bill Robertson of the Unified Police Department. “Luckily, no one was, again, hit tonight.”

Police said they do believe the shooting is gang related, and the metro gang unit is assisting with the investigation.
