WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah – Weber County deputies are looking for a man they say forced a woman into a car and then led authorities on a chase overnight.

Officials said it started at about 10 p.m. when the man and woman got into an argument in Washington Terrace near a toll booth on Adams Parkway.

Deputies said the woman got out of the car and ran to the toll booth but the man was able to get her back in the vehicle.

At that point, the person in the toll booth called police.

A deputy caught up with the car and chased it into South Ogden.

Authorities followed them into a dead-end and then the suspect’s car went down a hill, totaling the stolen vehicle.

The man ran from the crash and is still at large.

Officials said he could face kidnapping charges when he is found.

The woman in the car was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Authorities said they believe they know who the man is but haven’t released his description.
