SALT LAKE CITY — Two female teenagers suffered minor injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in pulled in front of a Trax train Tuesday afternoon, according to Salt Lake City police.
Police responded to the scene at about 3:30 p.m. in the area of 400 South and 500 East. According to police, the driver of the vehicle made a left turn against the traffic light, which caused the collision.
Police say the train was moving slowly so the teens suffered only minor injuries.
UTA tweeted out about delays to be expected on the Red Line. At about 4:11 p.m., UTA tweeted the incident had been cleared and the Trax train was running in both directions.
There will be some residual delay on the Red Line.
