WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a shoe store Sunday while brandishing a knife and then fled on foot.
Lt. Monte Cox, West Valley City Police Department, said the suspect entered a Payless Shoe Source at 5670 West 3500 South and brandished a knife while telling the clerk, “I need all the money.”
The clerk complied, and the suspect fled on foot with a small amount of cash. There were no injuries reported.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s who stands 5-feet 5-inches tall. He was wearing a black hoodie-style sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans.
