WEST JORDAN, Utah -- It’s the first of its kind in the state of Utah: an all-girls football league that officially got underway Saturday in West Jordan.
Sam Gordon, who made a name for herself scoring touchdowns against the boys and even landed her picture on a Wheaties box, competed along with 50 to 60 others.
Others around the country are watching Utah closely to see how the league goes, and to decide if they want to start up girl's football leagues of their own. See the video below for some of the sights and sounds from the league's debut.
