UTAH COUNTY, Utah — A man was transported to a hospital in critical condition Saturday afternoon after an accident involving a truck and a motorcycle near Utah Lake, and he later died due to his injuries.
Sunday, officials identified the deceased as 31-year-old Eric Spencer Hansen of Spanish Fork.
According to a press release from the Utah County Sheriff’s Office, Hansen was riding a motorcycle on Spanish Fork River Road near the southeast shore of Utah lake when he tried to pass a truck and the truck turned.

Witnesses and a riding partner gave Hansen CPR, and when emergency responders arrived the man was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in extremely critical condition. Hansen died at the hospital due to injuries suffered in the crash.
