Police searching for suspect accused of assaulting woman at Provo apartment

PROVO, Utah – Police are looking for a suspect accused of assaulting a woman outside of the laundry room at her Provo apartment complex.

Officials said the woman was walking back to her car at the Boulder Apartments near 750 S. and 650 W. at about 9 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, the woman said a man came up behind her, said some “amorous” things and then ripped some of the buttons off of her blouse she was wearing over a shirt.

Investigators said the woman was able to get away and the suspect is still on the run.

Authorities said the woman was not able to give a detailed description of the suspect.

Officers said they would like to speak with anyone who might have information about the incident.
