SALT LAKE CITY — A man in a rollover accident on Interstate 80 was not ejected from his car as was previously reported.

Sgt. Mary Kaye Lucas with Utah Highway Patrol said the call originally came in that the victim was in critical condition. Further investigation discovered he was wearing a seat belt and crawled out of the car after the crash.

At approximately 5 a.m., Utah Highway Patrol troopers responded to the accident near Wright Brothers Drive. Lucas said speed and road conditions were a factor into the accident.

The man was taken to an area hospital. Lucas said the victim suffered from bumps and bruises.

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
