SALT LAKE CITY – Hazmat fire crews and Salt Lake City police were called to an apartment complex in Salt Lake City Sunday morning after a drunken fight led to too much mace being sprayed.

Police said that after a party at 659 South 1200 East, a drunk party guest who couldn’t find his keys kept coming in an out of the complex, pounding on the host’s door. After awhile, police said the host sprayed the drunk man with enough mace that it affected other people in the complex.

Crews said it wasn’t enough seriously hurt anyone, and they put up fans to clean up the air.

Police are citing the person who sprayed the mace, saying it isn’t okay to mace someone just because they’re being annoying.
